Lifetime Honorary Member - Peggy Duty
February 23, 2026 - With great pleasure we recognize Peggy Scott Duty for her service to Central Texas Genealogical Society. From her membership date of January 1, 1967, Peggy maintained an active role, being instrumental in preparing the charter and by-laws for the incorporation of the Society.

She served as an officer and member of the Board of Directors for:
13-1/2 years as Editor (1969-71, 1986-96)
1 year as Secretary in 1973
4 years as Treasurer (in 1978, 79, 83, and 84)
And as President in 1982
Afterward, Peggy remained active as a Volunteer and aid to the Editor.
Because of all of this, and in recognition of her six decades of service to CTGS, the Members of the Society granted to Peggy Scott Duty Lifetime Honorary Membership in CTGS for her exemplary dedication, exceptional service, and significant contributions to our Society, and to promoting education in the fields of Genealogy and History.
