Taylor or Bird help

I am interested in finding out more about my Texas heritage. My family was centered around Central Texas. Apparently my great-grandfather built the court houses around there and in surrounding counties.
 
I've heard that there used to be an annual meeting called the Taylor-Bird Reunion around there. Do you know how I might find out more about it?
