Please bring me at least one county name & state in which you can confirm that you had an ancestor living there during some part of the American Revolutionary War (1775-1783). We will need to know surname. We will be working on a project with that surname. Next month bring me another surname until you run out.

If you can’t get back to an ancestor living during American Revolutionary War, please bring the surname that takes you closest to the time period 1775-1783 and any facts you have about that surname. A pedigree chart would be helpful. If you have a specific brickwall getting back to 1790 let us know, but we will also need to know where you have looked.

We are here as a group to give you ideas where to search and techniques on how to search. If you are working on any heritage society application, such as DAR or SAR, we would love to know about it and are glad to offer a few suggestions.
