Artificial Intelligence & Genealogy Special Interest Group

The AI Special Interest Group is a welcoming space for genealogists of all skill levels. No tech experience required--just curiosity. 

July's challenge - should you choose to accept it… ask AI to describe what daily life was like for your ancestor in a specific time and place!

Example: “Describe daily life for a farmer's wife in Rutherford County, Tennessee in 1830.”

Whether you've been with us from the start or you're just getting curious about AI for genealogy, this is a great session to join!

If you're new to the group or haven't joined us in a while, we'd love to have you! And although we aim to learn more about AI, we aim to have fun doing it!

What to Bring:

  • Your laptop (optional, but helpful for the hands-on session!)
  • Login credentials for your AI website(s) of choice (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, etc.)
